The affairs of the Trust are managed by the Aboriginal Languages Trust Board whose appointments were made with consideration given to having a diverse array of skillsets, experience, and representation from different Language groups across NSW.

Today, we spotlight our Deputy Chair, Ms Catherine Trindall. To find out more about the Aboriginal Languages Trust visit our Board page for all their respective bios.

Ms Catherine Trindall has had a distinguished career as an educator and is currently the President of the NSW Aboriginal Education Consultative Group. She is also Chair of the Tamworth Aboriginal Medical Service and Life member of the NSW Aboriginal Education Consultative Group Incorporated.

Aunty Cathy is the current Deputy Chair for the Aboriginal Language Trust, alongside Board Chair Yuwaalaraay man Mr Jason Behrendt.

‘I’m honoured to be the Deputy Chair of the NSW ALT’s, the work that the trust does is so important to me personally because it is my Language and Culture that defines who I am. The Trust has positioned us to make connections for those who have been disconnected from their Languages and Cultural Identity, but yet it supports others to continue their Language journey: Those of us who have always known. Gomeroi Murri yinnar-ngaya!’
