Get involved in the NSW Aboriginal Languages Festival

We’re currently seeking expressions of interest from individuals, artists, performers, food vendors, market stallholders, Community groups, and Language practitioners to take part in the NSW Aboriginal Languages Festival on 19 October 2025 and help to celebrate NSW Aboriginal Languages Week (19 - 26 October 2025). The Festival is a fantastic opportunity for you or your organisation’s work to be showcased in front of thousands of people on the day.

Date and time: Sunday, 19 October 2025 | 10am – 3pm 
Location: Carriageworks, 245 Wilson Street, Everleigh NSW 2015 

Who can apply?

We’re looking for:

• Musicians & performers: Language-based Aboriginal artists and performers, including solo acts, bands, dancers. 
• Dancers: the program will include a Corroboree which will showcase Aboriginal dance & song throughout the state. 
• Community, not-for-profit organisations and Aboriginal Language-based organisations: if your application is successful, the stall space will be complementary.  
• Food vendors and trucks: vendors who can provide a variety of food and drink options over the course of the festival. The space will be complementary.  
• Aboriginal Language Practitioners for Language lessons: teach a lesson and showcase your Language. The program will include three, 45 minute Language lessons. 
• Workshop facilitators for children's Aboriginal Language activities: the program will include a variety of fun, Language-based workshops and activities for children. 
• Youth Forum Delegates: suggest a young Aboriginal person aged 16 - 30 who has experience or a background in Aboriginal Languages to be supported (along with a guardian if under 18) to attend to participate in an engaging workshop looking at the future of Aboriginal Languages revitalisation. An Expression of Interest process will follow.
